final assessment

this is my final assignment, and my own refection.

what did I learn, a lot, I think I learned a lot about my self, and how I m to others every one has different things in life and I consider my self one of them, I would like to join the army and serve my country, when i m older in life, and that we the students can learn by ourself if we wanted.

well I like to think that I work really good, but I did have some ares were I did not put my best into it, but I tried, I have done some great work, also I did all of my work, I had troubles with my earlier, account making so that some of the earlier work is gone, I think my percentage that I deserve to get is a 86, I worked hard I feel like I participated in a lot, my growth to me is good, some of the assignments I admitted I suck at them, but I founded a way to do get the job done, you say ability I think of my self of finding a new way of thinking, that I can handle a hard situation like the poem I did.

How many of the assignments were completed? well on my new account that I had to make because of technology stuff which suck but I know that I did all of my work,
How much effort did you put into the assignments?  I believe That I put medium to good jobs in my work and some are just greatness. 

Did you begin to work harder or did your effort decrease? My work has always been in the medium or higher my effort is great

How do you feel about your writing? I fell my writing is improving, my teacher told me that my grammar is not the best and need work, I forget to add some things like commas and periods, but I think that i m getting better.

What did you learn from doing the assignments? well for some I felt great and some other people did better then me on things that I did not do well on but I learned things that I did not know but now I do

How many total comments have you made this year?  I have made 45 comments this year. 

What have you learned about being part of a learning community rather than an isolated individual learner? being apart of a learning community is that there could be someone better or smarter or whatever everyone has a different brain and different interest where as a isolated learner are more into there head as other people may have better choices.

How well did you control own behaviour and learning this semester? my behaviour has been great I do what needs to be done do what my teacher says and never act stupid or anything else 

How many classes did you miss? I have missed 7 class, in this class and I think that number is like the among the lowest in the class

What have you learned about yourself this semester? well Everybody different and so am I, I like war study stratgey one thing that I learn is that I like having fun I have a close group of friends rather then a big group of people that I just know 

What goals do you have about changing yourself?  the goals about changing myself is to be more and a better learner to get all of my work on time I have in this class and hopefully continue in grade 12.

What topic did you choose and why? I chose the korean war because nobody really knows that there was a war in korean and they call it the forgoten war because its 5 years after world war 2.

 How did you plan your learning? I plan my learning on the overhead because I m not good on technology like a powerpoint, or slideshow so I did it on the overhead which I got the suggestion from my LST teacher. 

 How did you plan your teaching? I plan my teaching by reading it and by telling the audience what I think the most confusing stuff that they did not get.

 How effective were you with time given each week? well I was already done within the first month because I like sutdy this almost every day in the first month and continue to do so.

 How was your presentation received by your peers? I mostly got why you like  war and mostly and about the korean is still at war and how much I know.

What have you learned about your own perspective about the responsibility of learning because of the Genius Hour? well all that I know by going into I was very nervous but by doing it it felt like I did this befor and was really good when I was done asking questions and giving them answer to them.

 Why do you come to school or bother learning anything? I come to school because I what to go be someone who is sucessful by going to school and I get reminded by  my dad he tells me everyday that he his so proud of me he did not graduate and he wants me to and thats my goal I what to graduate for my dad because I love so much Even the times when I hate him he is still my father and I m doing this for him and me it will be awesome and by graduating I get more chances of getting a job but as I keep telling people my real goal is to join the canadian army cause I love the military and My ansesters before me all went to war I want to continue that tradition so I m proud that if I graduate I will be so happy for me and I don't ever want to live on the streets 

genius hour presentation

I think that I did great, there could of been a couple things were I could of done better. I do admit my words were wired but I battle through it, I loved it.

SCHOOL IS GOOD

school is good, for  it teaches us what we need live by and other things. this class of comm 11 it teaches us how to learn by ourselfs and how to talk to other  people that we don't know. I actually like it, this is way I think that people should let students learn this way if some people took it seriously I think that more schools should do it only if the kids want to learn without teachers and being told what to do everyday, our class I think that some of the students take this corse for fun and for jokes were as some other people want to do there work and want to pass this class I just want to do my work and move on. by using wikis and blogger trying to create a community

sullivan rwanda

In Sullivan is full of groups like popular were I think they get more special perks then normal people there are the geeks/nerds who rather stay with there friends which I apperciate, then the band people the drama people the white the browns and the asians so this school is so mixed with everything but in rwanda there only two groups of people the tutsi and the hutu I consider the tutsi the popular kids and the hutus are everyone else.

I think that the perks that the popular kids get inmy head are more then the average joe if they get in trouble the principles would let them go, the popular kids I think are more spolied then the average child. The other kids and they feel about the popular kids, well there power and social life,there are mostly spolied to do more expensive things that other kids can't and I think that alot of "less popular kids" would love to be a "popular kid". Some assort their authority, by hanging in huge groups of people, others assort theres by how much stuff they can get away with compared to a "normal kid". Since it is in school there will never be a revolt but if it was not I think yes cause you see it alot today the underdog is more like then the overdog, like in the hunger games the poorest kids beat the richer kids. So if it was not in a school environment I would think that most kids would revolt because they want money,babes,power,living in big houses.

A Father's Last Stand

I'm not really good at the things that my teacher said, but I will try my best at it,out of the three of make your own song,make your own short story, and make your own poem, and I picked the poem one,  I think that I would be better at it than the others. I will make four stanzas, about the genocide that happened in Rwanda, and comparing that to my life.  I will compare this poem, to one of the worst days of my life, was when my Mom and Dad had the biggiest fight ever, and he was going to leave, and find another place, and I love my Dad, but I can not live without my Father. At the end of school when I was in bad class, I got a text message, that I will never get out of my head " I love you bud, And this will be the last day I will see you ever again " I don't think I've ever cried in school before, but I did that day, it was the worst terrible feeling I had ever felt in my live, and it was rainning real hard and all I had was a shirt and shorts and my back pack, I had to wait in the rain for 45 minutes, I was covered in rain and driping from the hair to my feet, then I got on the bus that took me home, and I saw my Dad and I hug him like never before, I didn't want to let go of him, we cried together in the rain in an alleyway, that is just right beside our house, and every day I love my Dad, and I can't really think of my live without my Dad.

I picked this one cause it is dark but want genocide is not and it tells us a perspective from a little girl that is in a genocide and then she sees her mother then she gets shot the end

I feel like what it says like for me when I read it I felt like a ghost and I saw this little girl crying and then she sees her mother and then the people came and shoot her mother right before her eyes

Hotel Rwanda

The class watch Hotel Rwanda on Monday, Tuesday, and finished it on Wednesday, and now we have to answer questions, and that is what I am going to do now.


1. What caused two tribes of people who lived in peace for hundreds of years to build up hatred for one another?: yes, they were fine for hundreds of years, until the Belgians came for diamonds and other riches, when they were there they spilt the country based on the looks of the people of Rwanda. If you were more white then you would be a Tutsi, and if you were more black you'd be a Hutu. Since the Tutsi looked more white they had more power, and better things than the Hutu's, where they were told that they are not good for anything, and put them down for so many years that one day they had enough of begin treated like shit, and when the Belgians left, they put the Tutsi's in power, which the Hutu's still had nothing. and still kept begin treated like crap. I guess that the Hutu's just had enough of begin treated like crap, and then just started killing every Tutsi.

2. What reasons do they describe for their dislike?: Well I think that was that cause everyone was not treated equal, that the Hutu just had enough, the way I look at it, is that the Hutu's are the lower class, were as the Tutsi's were the middle class and had more wealth, and more power then the Hutu's did.

3. How is the hatred spread?: The hatred was broadcasted from radios, the person who was talking was the warlord and leader of the Hutu army, another was they go on marches in the streets and protest wearing there colours and holding signs and weapons.

4. How do they justify the horrible things they do?: They had war crimes and trials for all the major suspects that particapated in the genocide of Rwanda.

5. What similarities from other countries or historical events do you see?: One of the horrific genocide that I think is, the Cambodian genocide lead by Pol Pot and his Khmer Rogue, which was a small communist gurelia fighting force which the average for them was age 16, they had killed the government and also killed millions, a quarter of the nation population, and pt him in charge of the government, and killed anyone who was smart who knew the past and if you go to cambodia you will see mass burials ,mass graves and execution sites, torhcer sites, if you ask any camobodian how long it lasted they will tell you the exactly how long in years, months and days. One thigh that most people did not know is that they were organized like the nazi in world war 2, they took pictures of every inmate and person who got killed they put numbers on the inmates and make them starve, tourture them, and they had dates for all of the executions and how many would be killed, but they didn't say the kill them they said we crushed them instead of said we killed them.

6.What sort of reaction do you have to watching the film?: What reaction I got from watching the film Hotel Rwanda, was shaken, but it is not the only genocide that I have seen on T.V or heard of, I did not even know about the genocide in Rwanda until my teacher showed us Hotel Rwanda, we all know that genocide is the worst thing that can happen on this earth, and some people are still thinking about this, like in Iran there leader wants to throw all the jews in the sea and claim Jerusalem for Arabs, but Israel is a strong nation and supported by U.S.A, I hope that we will never see any more genocide in world.

midterm mark

I think that I deserve a B cause I was sick for 2 days and do admit I did skip the first friday and I do regret that I did because I do like this class and that day I did skip I was really lost and that day I told myself that I will never skip because I really like this class and Mr. Neuf is probably the best teacher that I had for any acdemic class in percentage I think I earn a an 80% - 86% I think i deserve that mark i think that this is my most favorite one that we did cause I loved it the message of it is really powering and i think if this got out to more people we could be better and dont let the government to control our lives.

Well i think the poem to me is that we the people are the robots and the government is running everything they make money while we are going into poverty the government does not care about they take away civil liberties and rights for want people died for, in america the people are so mad because there guns are being taking away form them and they have to do it because the government is saying that if you don't give your guns you are racist. their are two sides to everything in this case you have your government funding for banning guns all over the USA were as the NRA and others people want their guns because it says it in the consitution you have the right to bear arms and now I have to agree with the NRA because when you have guns you have a lower crime rate with no guns you have high rate of crime and they should have checks for people who are criminals and people who are mentally unstable. and the people who create things and say that they are stupid because they created something and yes you are probably against guns but it is suicide pills not guns. and it is proven by FBI that having more guns in a country is less crime and the thing that makes me so angry is that the police is taking guns away from kids who are just playing with toy guns, water guns,NERF guns,bb guns,and even the halo kitty ballon gun being taking away and then they arrested for that its just said and i can show you a lot more about this stuff and many more things about how the government is trying to make you poor and how the government is starting to have shooting targets as white people with guns and this is what i got from the poem the government is fucking us and I am not going to stand and take it because the people who are stupid and naive don't care.

And my most favorite the first tattoo i would get is one i really never thought about till neuf brought it up his tattoo of the prussian eagle cause he is from german background i would like the same thing as neuf but instead of the lion on the eagle i would have the ukranian symbol on the chest of the eagle or over the head of the eagle i would have a sword in one of its claws cause my family has been in all the world wars  and in the other claw would be a iron cross showing honour and valour. my second tat would be of the german eagle during world war 2 and if i get kids i would have a tattoo of them on my calf.

 this one of my favorite and i would like to see them on my body and i kinda like them i think it would look bad ass on me

this is the most disturbing thing in the world and kinda scary that this war has been going on for 63 years and now things are heating up on the korean pennisula and i think i picked a great genius hour 

        

                                                                                            

the korean war is mostly a forgotten war and one of the most craziest borders to ever have lived, most people focus on the middle east with iran and israel that probably most media because if iran attacked or america fought it would start world war 3 with nato all of europe north america and israel vs. iran russia and possibly china. and countries like india would have a hard time cause they would have to pick who they want to fight they are friends with both israel give them weapons were as iran gives them oil. besides that we have to be ready cause north korean is the most secret place in the world

The Korean war, is a war mostly forgoting war, and one of the most stranger outcomes, on one side you had massive firepower and on the other overwelming numbers.

The Korean pennisula was under the empire of Japan, during world war 2, when the Japan surrenderd the pennisula was cut in two along the 38th parralle they put two systems of goverment in korea, in the north the soviet union sponsered a communist regime in there capitial Pyongyang, and in the south the us put a capitialist regime in the south in there capitial of seoul and put syee-man-ree in charge  he was a firecly right wing poilitcian and wanted to unite the entire korean pennisula under a captialist regime and his opponent was kim-ll-sung and also wanted to unite the korean pennisula under a communism regime they both met and nothing really came of it so on June of the 25, 1950 the north korean army attacked they caught the south korean army off guard the north was beating the south at every turn the weak south army didn't posse any threat to the north on June the 28 the north korean army took the south capital of seoul but the north didn't stop there they wanted the whole pennisula for themsleves this was when the americans first landed in korea they were already fighting a war that lokk to be done they needed a general to bring them back and get them out of this problem they put general douglas McCarther he was in the first world war and got his fame in the second world war now he was in charge again MacCarther got his fame by amphibouis landings so he had a plan called operation cromite he planed a amphiboius landing at the port of inchiong which is north west his plan was to land on inchiong and then push south so the koreans would have to fight on two front one from the front and the other from the back the plan was a success the allies pursued the north korean army back across the 38th paralle back where it started now there was a converstion at the UN one side wanted it to end but MacCarther said: the north sould pay the penlity of waging war on the south,  later he got his way so instead of the UN being the defender they were now the aggresers so they pushed on and they captured the capital of north korea but every step they took forward they were getting close to the north korean china border now there new emporer mao zadong he and his new communisum regime was only two years old and he was forced to do something about it he said this is just plain capitialist aggresion so now the china was in the war the first time the allies fought the chinesse they were different form the north korean army they were veterans years of fighting years of civil war and are masters of close quarters and the bitter cold korean winter was coming and the americans were retreating in the snow and mud it was hard for them cause they had a lot of heavy tank and other vechicals and constonly being attacked by the chinese. the chinese used the human shield which just overwelming for the americans they look out to see 10,000 troops running at you, you get pretty sarced but the chinese pushed the allies back just south of seoul but the chinese have pushed so far south their supply lines were thin and then the allies started pushing north of seoul from then on it was a battle for tactial ground which was gained and loss and the death toll was growing in this war then the chinese generals and north korean generals came together and made the spring offensive which was about 100,000 soliders attaked the allies trying to get the allies in little pockets and then they while destroy one by one but the heroes stop the there spring offensive the chinese had lost 10,000 men in one battle against the british never again the chinese attacked on a larger scale then the spring offensive then they talked and at the end of it they had a armistice along their border and they have both been officaily still at war. At the end of the war there have been over 200 violations by the North Koreans, some people don't even know that the North Korean have bombed a South Korean village, killing 4 people and in another attack that the North Korean torpedo and South Korean ship killing 48 people and the North Koreans still think that they are the best and if they go to war now they will make a big mistake. Because the American army and South Korea and maybe Japan will be brought into this war if it happens the only thing that makes me worried is the Chinese going on the North korean side then it would be world war three, but besides that let us focus on the current battle strategy for both sides let start with the north they have 1.1 million active people in the army with a 500,000 reserve force with that they have a lot of  artillery and they would use that against the south by bombing there capital of Seoul and they would use there navy and drop some of there special forces more south while the army will try and get by the DMZ they would have a better start but I will give them 5 days until the UN acts the Americans would again be in charge they will send they infantry reserve from Japan,Guam,Hawaii, and the units already stationed in South Korea for the Americans they will want to rule the air and the sea because if they do, they will bomb their main city's and there all of there bridge and make it harder to move in there own country and then just bomb the heck out of them and then they will want the North Korea to sign  a peace treaty and try to install a democratic party in North Korea 

superfit is a callenge for me but everyday i try as best as i can because i want to change i want to get fit i want a healthy live a superfit is helping me out with that and i have the best teachers in the school if i was to give my self a mark i would give myslef a high B or a low A cause i work my but off every time when it comes to fitness i may be a big guy but my heart and my drive to become fit is what keeps me going i will take superfit 12 and pe 12 cause i love trying to get fit and i love sports

There is always bad stuff crap things in this world in my case there are alot of things but I don't really like talking about cause it bring back bad memory like my parents fighting every night and they almost break up that is alot there more of that but I think that a the worse thing for a kid is to have a divorce parents  or just one parent while the other parent left but I am lucky that they didn't and I realize that they may fight I am lucky to have a good family while other kids don't have family. I really dont struggle when iam alone cause I really like it when iam home alone cause it is quite especialy when my sister is not home. Well when I feel down the thing that gets me out of the negativity is my pc games they help alot and my parents are always there for me when i need help or when i feel down. I think that he is talking about alot of things in hamlet like like family sometimes sibilings could be jealous of the others attribute  or just cause they are older, i feel that suicide is selfish  and stupid i heard that the only place in hell that grantes you on going to hell is suicide, yes i feel that i like to have revenge on someone but i don't want to because i was rised by my parents only sometimes i scrap out with my dad but that was long time ago i know who I am  right now I am clam and cool like 98% of the time, i usually gets really mad and pissed at my sister cause she is so mean sometimes a liar she has the worse mouth you will ever see and she is so abusive to me and my dad and when my mom sees it she gets mad because she knows that my sister does hit me and she says that one day he will hit you and you ill not like it  and when i did one time it was a huge fight me my mom and my dad all fought against my sister because she says that she does not hit me and then we all pounced on that staement and we destroyed her and she knew that one day it would come, everyone sould live life happy ill well use bob ackles qoute " do the best that you can" thats what i do live every day like its my last i like seeing my old friends  friends they are the best friends that i can ask for they brighting my day cause we know each other for so long since gr. 4 and we are still best friends, and just looking up funny movies or whose line is it anyway

1) I think that by using tattoos it is painfull yes but it does teach you pain and how to deal with pain

- Listens effectively : i do listen but sometimes they (the speaker) is talking to fast and i didnt really understand

- Polite and considerate of others and the learning environment  : i do treat others and the computer with respect is just that the computers are slow and make me mad sometimes

- Assumes responsibility for his / her own learning : always i took responsibility for the day that i skiped and i regeted it because the more we are in this class the more i like it and the more everyday learning waht i want to learn 

Work Habits

- Remains on task during class and does not waste time : i try my best to remain on task but it is hard for me cause i have a lot of things on my mind at one time but i do not waste any time that is given to me
- Completes assignments and homework as scheduled : i have done every assignment eventhough my first account went to the dogs
- Attends class regularly and is on time ( Abs. 1 _ Late)
- Comes prepared for class and has materials out ready to begin: always i am ready to go iam always hear on time 
- Takes advantage of opportunities to improve : i always take advantage if i have the time i will finish if i havent already done so

in the movie gladitor that we wacth in class  the main character maximus he was a general in the roman army soon to be released from duty and go be a farmer and be with his family ( wife and son) after the battle at the beginning ended he was happy and excited because he was so eager to go home to his family but the emporer wanted maximus to be the new emperor of rome when he dies maximus declines his offer because all maximus wants is to be with his family and be  a farmer then when the emperor talk to his son that he is not going to be emperor of romehis own son killed his father and said that he was the new emperor and maximus came to see the body of the emperor and the new emperor wanted maximus loyalty and maximus just tured and walk away cause he has done his duty as a general of the army than he was arrested and he escaped with two horses and rode to his home and saw his family burnt and cruxified them and he buried them then he got pick up and met a black guy who helped him cause he was tried hungry thristy and sad that his family got executed when his woke up he found himself as a slave or a gladiator and he got bought by a former gladiator and and him fight and practice through rounds of fighting and when he did good he and the others got to go to rome and fight in the clossosium and when he did he showed no emotion to his teammates but on the inside he was angry and depressed and wanted revenge for the peope who killed his fammily and he also felt thathe has nothing to live for and he wants to be with them that i guess wants drives maximus to keep going on and try and fight them so one day he will see his family againand when he was in the colossoium the crowd loved maximus and that he defilled and sowed disrespect to the emperor and because the people of rome hate the new emperor and they love maximus yet he only fight cause he has to and because of his family.

the person who comes in my mind is oscar pistorius because he may be handicapped but we are now reallizing that he was not the gently person he is he killed his girlfriend on valentins day shoot her and killed her this was not the first time that the police came to his house befor in 2009 for an assulute and we just know oscar for running in the olympics and the para olympics he was a hero to children and others we as the world didnt know about this i think that everybody knows now about the real oscar pistorious





well i think that people dont know about me they think iam a fat monster and if you have the chance i will prove that iam not a fat monster iam more like a big cuddly teddy bear hoestly i hate people who judge others even thought they havent even talk to them they just put a name to the face and body type like the fat people the nerds the geeks the loners the bad girls the smokers the popular people >:(.

well what people dont know about me is that i like world war 2 strategey games and useing to use i am starting to get into politics and i like video games and wacthing tv i like to be with my friends and like my new class superfit i wish i could of taken pe to cause i do want to get fit  and one day i will i also have the urge to join the canadian military the army cause iam glad that my parents had people who fought in both world wars and i would like to carry their name with my into battle and fight for my country  and die if need be.
